The trusted AI assistant for UK legal work.

Alesis works alongside your team, not instead of it, and cites every answer to the page.

Built and held in the UK. Never trained on your work.

Overview

The two questions every partner asks first

Speed is the easy part. These two decide whether an assistant can be used at all in a firm where someone with a practising certificate signs the work.

It tells you when it does not know

When Alesis cannot find support for a point in the papers or in law, it says so and explains what is missing.

Work on one matter never leaks into another

People see the matters they are on and nothing else, and one firm's work never touches another's.

In practice

Three jobs your firm already does

Alesis is one conversation. What changes is what you ask it to help with, and which sources it answers from. Every answer is cited, whichever those are.

Get across a matter without reading it twice

Ask what happened, who agreed what, and when. Alesis answers from the papers on that matter and points you at the page each answer came from. If the papers do not say, it tells you that rather than filling the gap.

Why Alesis

Built for the way firms are held to account

Every choice below exists because someone in the firm has to answer for the work.

The source behind every point

Nothing is asserted on trust. Each point names the document, decision or provision it rests on, down to the page, and official sources open in one click.

It stays inside your matters and your sources

It answers from your firm's papers and the libraries your work relies on, never from whatever it can find online, and it can show you every one.

Nothing leaves the firm on its own

Alesis prepares; people send. It does not file, serve or email anything, and every draft waits for a fee earner to sign it off.

Your data stays in the UK and the EU

Held in the UK, processed in the UK and the EU, kept apart from every other firm, and never used to train anything for anyone else.

See it answer a real question

Open the demo and read Alesis answering on a sample matter, with every source one click away. If you would rather see it live, book a walkthrough and we will show you, on a real run, in front of you.

Pricing

£25 of free credit to start

No card and no subscription: nothing recurs, and buying a top-up is the only thing that ever costs anything. The starting credit typically lasts one fee earner two to four weeks. Each colleague who joins adds £15 more free credit, up to £325 in all before your firm spends anything.

FAQ

What a cautious firm asks us

Short answers, in plain terms. If yours is not here, put it to us directly and we will answer it in writing.

Because you can check it in seconds. Every point names the document or authority it rests on, down to the page, and an official source opens in one click without leaving the answer. Alesis is built to be checked rather than believed, and a qualified fee earner reviews the work either way.

It says so. If Alesis cannot find support for a point, it tells you what it could not find instead of offering a confident guess, so you know where to look yourself. An assistant that quietly fills a gap is worse than no assistant at all.

Your firm's information stays your firm's. It is held in the UK, processed only in the UK and the EU, kept apart from every other firm, and never used to train anything for anyone else. Inside your firm, people see only the matters they are on, so work on one matter cannot surface in another.

Exactly where they are now. Alesis assists; it does not advise and it does not sign anything. The work remains yours, reviewed by a qualified person, and your responsibility to the client. That is precisely why every answer is made easy to check.

Yes. Create an account, set up your firm, open a matter and upload the papers, and you can ask your first question minutes later. The first firm you set up starts with £25 of free credit, no card needed; each colleague who joins adds £15 more, once per person, for up to 20 colleagues, and you top up only when you choose. There is no subscription and nothing recurs. Where coverage of official sources is thinner, in Scotland and Northern Ireland, Alesis says so in the answer rather than papering over it.

If they can write an email, they can use it. Alesis is a conversation, not a search language, and there is nothing to configure. The one habit worth teaching takes a few minutes: open the source before you rely on the answer.
